New release on DVD and Blu-ray - Liszt Piano Concertos
For the very first time Daniel Barenboim tackled Franz Liszt's two highly virtuosic piano concertos in a single concert. With Pierre Boulez, his friend and esteemed colleague of many years, conducting the Staatskapelle Berlin, they were showered with praise on their tour across Europe.
BBC Music Magazine has nominated the ACCENTUS Music recording of Claudio Abbado and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra performing Mahler’s 9th Symphony for its prestigious awards in the category "DVD". The winners are decided online by the public – Voting opens 13th January.
